The Canadian Association of Applied Linguistics
The Canadian Association of Applied Linguistics (ACLA) is a bilingual learned society that brings together researchers, practitioners and students around research, creation and mobilization of knowledge on contemporary issues in applied linguistics.
The objectives of ACLA

Promote research, teaching and knowledge mobilization in all areas of applied linguistics;

Promote the voices and work of French-speaking, Indigenous and historically marginalized community researchers;

Support the development of emerging researchers through mentoring, networking and training activities;

Organize an annual congress in various regions of the country to promote exchanges across Canada;

Support the Canadian Journal of Applied Linguistics, the association's official journal.
