Our history
Since its inception, the ACLA has been committed to advancing knowledge in applied linguistics in Canada. Its official journal, the "Canadian Journal of Applied Linguistics", published its first issue in 1998, marking a significant milestone in the dissemination of research in the field. The association’s constitution was adopted in 2007, consolidating its role as a bilingual scholarly society at the national level.
